phew.

wowo. okay. So another 2k run today. Thats 3 days in a row. This is not usual for me.. a) to be running at all and b) when I do, to not have break days.

 

This is my plan. Usually, i will run mon, wed and fri. break on tuesday and thursday. Maybe then I might do something else.. weights, stretching or nothing.

This week I decided to run a short distance every day just to get my cardio up. Last time I decided to run again I was trying 3km or maybe just a bit over.. after a week or so I was still struggling to do it non stop.

It is day 3 now, First day I stopped to walk about 500m short of the finish line.. so about 1.5km. 2nd day (yesterday) was not so great, stopped earlier and struggled a bit to get to the end…. BUT both those runs ended up with the exact same time. so i walked more, But the running bit was quicker.

Today though. no stopping and 50 seconds less than the first two. GPS went abit wonky again,…

We are planning on upgrading our phones for our birthday which is not too far away. That should sort any gps issues! Speaking of new phone, I should look into making sure runmeter can get my data across to the new one.. I am an IT guy, But there are some things I have never done. Better do some research!

Below is my 2nd run for the year.
The Time is accurate, But the rest is not!!. My iphones GPS went a bit crazy and could not quite follow me like it did yesterday. This is the same 2km route that I did do yesterday. Strangely the finish time was the same 11:24.

Yesterdays distance was correct, I measured it on mapmyrun. it has 31seconds of stop time.. I walked a little bit, but did not stop.. My iphone could be at fault here. Its a bit slow and that is probably causing the gps to freak out a bit.

Todays run… It is raining and windy out, But I decided I would run this 2km route each day this week just to get my body back into running. 2km does not seem very far.. but it is when you have not run anything for a long time. I would like to settle into 3-3.5km for a bit so that I can make my move to the sweet 5km spot.Last time I was running, 5km was a great distance, it did not take me long before 5km was just a stroll in the park.. easy warm up run… Granted I never ran any further than 10km.

Why did I start running again?

Good question, You see, I am on this new eating plan.. Managed a week and a bit of that and I am feeling pretty good. I figured since I am eating healthy, I might aswell get my body fit also. I have a long way to go. i am a bit sore around the lower back/hips areas.. I might need to get a few massages to keep things moving. Last thing I want is to injure myself again….
